Many compromises were made to hit the low price point, but these limitations gave rise to a delightfully quirky design.

Build from Scratch
Make sounds that are completely your own, without menu-diving. Poly 81 is designed to quickly sculpt sounds from scratch, with a curated set of familiar, always-available controls.
Performance Expression
In a decidedly modern twist, Poly 81 supports per-note expression, allowing you to control timbre and pitch of each note independently during performance. Express yourself with an MPE-capable controller or draw in curves for detailed control.
Vibes-based modeling
While not a faithful replica, Poly 81’s design preserves the character and sense of fun from the original synthesizer. It’s a love letter to the awkward specialness of that era of transition from analog to digital synthesizers.
